Our SEO Team works closely with our editorial, audience development, analytics, and product groups to figure out ways to acquire new users from Search and to ensure the highest level of discoverability for content across digital platforms. In this role, your work will make a huge impact on all of Condé Nast’s digital sites throughout the company. We are looking for a data-driven, highly organized SEO Manager in Health with an editorial search engine optimization background and understanding of E-A-T fundamentals to help the industry-leading wellness brand, SELF, increase their organic search traffic through health content recommendations. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of editorial SEO. This is a 40 hr/week contract position starting immediately and ending December 2021. It is based in New York and reports to the Associate Director of SEO. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS: - Support a health SEO initiative for SELF through keyword research and on-page optimization of 70 health-condition focused pieces of content per month - Work with SEO Manager and editorial team to action SEO health content strategy for existing and new content - Follow Condé Nast SEO policies and best practices, including strict E-A-T best practices - Monitor news trends and provide editors with news recommendations around health conditions - Support traffic investigations to health content on SELF - Run and share health content reports and measure performance - Join regular brand meetings to provide updates and discuss health content strategy ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in editorial (content) SEO, preferably for a major media/publishing organization or agency working on editorial content - Proven track record – Applicants must submit websites that demonstrate their SEO ability and be prepared to discuss - Strong SEO copywriting skills - Adherence to the highest standards of SEO - Familiarity with web analytics tools and concepts, particularly Google Search Console & Google Analytics - Familiarity with third-party enterprise SEO tools (e.g. SemRush, etc) - Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills - A collaborative & proactive team player - Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
