When you upload a list of email addresses to SparkToro, the file is processed entirely in memory for real-time matching. Your emails are matched against SparkToro's aggregated audience data to build anonymized insights, and the uploaded list is automatically and permanently discarded the moment processing completes. Files are never written to disk or saved in a database.
What we keep
We retain only aggregated, anonymized insights, such as the websites a group visits or the podcasts they listen to. We do not store your email addresses, any personally identifiable information, or raw data from your upload.
Security
Uploads are encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher, and access is restricted to the automated matching system. Internal services and team members cannot access uploaded files.
Compliance
Because we do not store personal information and process uploads transiently, SparkToro's approach aligns with GDPR and CCPA. Since uploaded emails are deleted immediately after matching, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) typically is not required.
We never reuse your data
Uploaded files are never used for model training, data enrichment, marketing, or any other purpose. They exist only to generate your audience report, and then they are destroyed.
